Rock - By - Sea

The Rock - By - Sea windfarm development makes a community benefit payment, each August, to the Creich Community Council to administer to the benefit of the local community.

A micro grant, of up to £400, is available to residents of the Creich district to be used towards costs incurred when taking up new training or employment opportunities.

Course fees, travel costs, etc could all qualify as valid expenses for grant consideration, provided the opportunity for personal improvement or development is demonstrated in the application.

Grants for travel costs will not be made where similar training opportunities are available locally. Grants will be limited to one application per individual (or group) per course.

The grant will not take the place of any other grant and therefore will not be a duplicate payment of any other award.

No application forms are required; application should be by letter or email to the Community Council. Each award will be considered on its individual merit.

Another feature of the scheme is an Award for Excellence. Candidates for this award can be nominated by a member of the Community Council. Any resident from the Creich area who has shown a considerable talent, perhaps in the face of difficulities, and who has reached high standard of acheivement in his/her own particular field may be nominated.

If you are wishing to be considered for the award, you should contact any Community Council member to ask for your case to be put forward. Each case will be considered on individual merit. A cap of £400 is the maximum amount available.
