Rock - By - Sea
The Rock-By-Sea windfarm development makes a community benefit payment, each August of circa £4,000 to the Creich Community Council to administer to the benefit of the local community. Current funding criteria and conditions are reviewed annually and will change in accordance with the amount of funding available each year. No precedent is set for future fund criteria by those of the previous year. A notice will be issued when funds are spent, and applications are no longer available. Please note in all applications no funding will be awarded retrospectively. Applications must be received in advance of the training taking place. Evidence of training attendance/ spend etc and a short letter on how this fund has helped will be required within a year of the award, and we may request further information at the application stage. Please note awards will only be paid into the bank account of the named applicant
Requests must be submitted TWO weeks prior to the next Community Council Meeting, these dates are also published on our Facebook page, Creich Community Council
No application forms are required; application should be by email to secretary@creichcommunitycouncil.org.uk.
Details should include but not exclusively, Course title, course cost, course dates, reason for wanting to enrol and how it will be of benefit
You may apply for an award under the following categories.
Individual applications for Creich Residents
Applications for training courses up to the amount of £1,000 by an individual can be applied for in a 12-month period for residents of Creich Parish aged 16 & over.
Course fees and travel costs could all qualify as valid expenses for grant consideration, provided the opportunity for personal improvement or development is demonstrated in the application. Grants for travel costs will not be made where similar training opportunities are available locally. The grant will not take the place of any other grant and therefore will not be a duplicate payment of any other award.
Please note if you work for a business or local charity which has received or applied for funding you may not apply as an individual. If an application has been or is being made by a community organisation which you volunteer at you may still be considered for an individual award.
Additionally, individuals aged 17 and over can apply for £300 towards the cost of driving lessons.
Business/Charities/ Community organisations
Applications for training courses for the above up to £1,500 per year can be applied for in a 12-month period. The above organisations should have either at least 1 Creich resident employed or be able to evidence the benefits to the residents of Creich Parish of their work. Preference will be given where training benefits more than one employee.
Young People
Individuals between the ages of 16 and 22 resident in Creich Parish can apply for a one-off grant of £200 towards the cost of clothes to attend interviews or starting a new job.
Individuals between the ages of 16 and 22 resident in Creich Parish starting an apprenticeship or trade can apply for a one-off grant of £300 towards the cost of tools or specialist work wear.
Individuals between the ages of 16 and 22 resident in Creich Parish at the time of their application starting a full time higher/further education course can apply for a one-off grant of £300. This is for first year course applicants only. You will need to send evidence of your course offer and acceptance. If you after receiving an award you do not attend the course, you must return the fund.
