The Beinn Tharsuinn Windfarm is located on the hills just to the south of Creich Parish and it can be seen from a large number of residents' homes.
The Beinn Tharsuinn Windfarm Community Benefit Fund was established by the operators of the windfarm, Scottish Power Renewables, in order to directly benefit the areas which the windfarm impacts upon.
Creich Community Council manages a share of the fund, which groups and organisations from within the council area can apply to for grant assistance. The fund is administered by the Highland Council, however it is the Community Council who makes the decisions as to how the money is used and we try to ensure that the money is invested in projects, activities and initiatives that make a valid contribution to the community.
If you would like to make an application to the fund up to a maximium of £5,000 you can do so by downloading the documents below. We would encourage anyone who has any questions or queries about their application to contact a member of the community council to discuss it further.
